hoa banned pickup trucks overnight

HOA's should be illegal. I've seen some articles and videos where they actually evict ppl from a house they're paying a mortgage on. How can that even happen??? They're just a club of GET OFF MY LAWN busybodies.

I can't beleive people are ignorant enough to live in a hoa. Other than the fact they can't make decisions on their own. apparently, they're still connected to mommy. Why you'd want to live in a hoa. And have people tell. Is you what you can and can't do with your property. Is beyond me.

this has to be illegal. a non commercial pick up truck is just a means of transportation. are they going to ban parking of motorcycles next. take them to court, sue them for emotional distress and attorneys fees

if the people want back control vote them out. everyone quit paying their dues. they can't put everyone in jail

But... many HOAs can tell you not to park on your driveway, not to leave your garage door open at any time (open and close each time you go in or out), can't plant what you want, cant decorate your front door, cant have holiday decorations, or flags out. What to stop them from telling you what kind of vehicle you can have. The only way is to fight them or move.

The county that I live in Florida is extremely lax in enforcement of property use violations. Living outside of an HOA community exposes one to neighbors who may or may not care about property values. These are the ones who park boats, broken down RVs and/or automobiles anywhere and everywhere on their property and dare anyone to complain. These majority of these people are renters and the property owner is an absentee landlord. As long as the rent is being paid, they are unconcerned as to neighbor comfort. Living in an HOA community relieves one of the concern of devaluation of property due to non caring neighbors. If you don’t like rules, HOAs are something you should avoid. I, for one, am grateful that I live in an HOA protected neighborhood. PS, we don’t allow commercial vehicles to be parked outside overnight. Why wouldn’t this guy park his pickup truck in his garage? That seems like a simple solution to the problem.

I agree with the Florida lawmaker who plans to file legislation next January, that will ban HOAs in the state!
