This one is hard to read. A family built a small wooden ramp for their mother after a fall. It was temporary, painted to match the house, and barely visible from the street. The HOA fined them $100 per day until they removed it. The reason? “Nonconforming exterior alteration.” They provided doctor’s notes and even asked for an exception under disability law. I guess they never heard about disability guild lines by the federal government agency that is in charge of ability for the disabled to have access to housing without being forced to take the means for a disabled person to be able to get in and out of their home. I would take the HOA to the federal agency so that you can have the ramp on the front of the house.
