This restaurant hid the “No Tip” button with a sticker to push customers into tipping🤔
Just saw this and honestly… wow 😳. This restaurant literally covered the “No Tip” option with a sticker so customers would feel forced to leave a tip. I get it, servers work hard, but straight-up hiding choices? That’s shady business. Feels like it defeats the whole purpose of tipping being optional. Has anyone else run into this? with how our system works, employees HAVE to survive on tips. they're not paid enough otherwise. if you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat out.

I tip my server at the table. That way I know they actually received it. I'm not trusting anyone at the register to do it for me

I stopped tipping a couple of years ago when this became a big issue in servers automatically think that they deserve a tip no matter what I do tip once in a blue moon but it's not very often anymore

Matt and trey (South Park creators) opened a restaurant and paid their staff 30$ an hour and made tipping prohibited. This should be the law. if you can afford to pay your staff then dont open a restaurant. stop blaming the customer for not tipping a mortgage payment. when the real bad guy is the person who makes the laws that say servers shouldn't be paid living wages. they win by making us all point fingers at each other. no problems solved.

Everyone should tip in cash. Separately from the check. Too many restaurants steal tips from servers

At a regular restaurant, everybody should be tipping per the experience that they received from the server. However, if it’s just a pick up order or Starbucks or any other kind of store Panera, etc. they’re only giving it to me. They’re not serving me at my table so they don’t get a tip. There is too much asking for tips for no good reason. Businesses pay your people!!!
