I'd try setting boundries first, because everybody needs help sometimes, tell him he needs a job by a certain time, if he gets a job tell him he needs to help out financially, he can sleep on couch or air mattress give your kid their room back

Give him a week to find a job and other accommodations. You are enabling him. If he objects or refuses pack his stuff and put it outside. Might change the locks if he has a key. Time to grow up, brother!
