Memphis really fired Jenkins for this?

Memphis front office absolutely lost their damn minds firing Taylor Jenkins mid-season with a solid 44-29 record! Now we're rolling the dice with Tuomas Iisalo, a European coach who's never run an NBA squad and already stumbled to 4-5 out the gate. The Finnish coach was money overseas, snagging multiple Coach of the Year awards, but the Association is a different beast entirely. This feels like franchise suicide when Jenkins had us cooking. While I don’t think Memphis and Jenkins is the right place for it to happen but with the league going more and more euro it makes sense to get a coach with a good feel for that play style. Think the experiment should happen on a less volatile team though, Ja needs a good voice in the locker room and they’re ready to win now

European coaches that try it in the NBA hasn't worked out yet. they play a different style. the coaches have to adjust to the player other than the player adjusting to the coach here in this country

This experiment should begin with a team who has its top 2 players from the Euroleague. Easier to get the rest of the team on board with style of play.
