An alligator snapping turtle—one of the largest and most aggressive freshwater turtles in the U.S.—was just pulled from under the dock at Juanita Beach Park. These turtles aren’t native to Washington and can seriously disrupt local wildlife, not to mention their powerful jaws can cause real harm if you get too close. Park staff acted fast, but it’s a reminder to keep an eye out for unusual critters and always alert lifeguards if you spot something strange. Has anyone else seen invasive species around Kirkland? What do you think should be done about them? #Pets #Kirkland #JuanitaBeach
