Dillon couldn't beat Shedeur for a spot that they never competed for. Competitors are given the same resources then the winner is whoever did the best with those resources. Gabriel was picked 3rd & received development by practicing with 1s & 2s to prepare to be the QB3 at the least. Shedeur was never competing to be anything outside of becoming a part of the 53-man roster. He never received development for anything. He was left to practice with the 3s & 4s & at times with the staff. There was no goal set for him to be moved up to practicing with the 1s & 2s. He was only allowed to play in a pre-season game because everyone was injured not because he had been allowed to earn the opportunity. Even then he wasn't allowed practice reps with 1s & 2s to prepare for the game. Shedeur was never a part of a so-called fair QB competition that Stefanski claimed. The QB competition was between Flacco, Pickett & Gabriel only. Shedeur was not a part.
