When I was a teenager, we had a German Shepherd. On the one day I could sleep in (between school and work), by late morning my parents would decide that I had slept in long enough and my Dad would tell the dog to go wake me up. The dog knew how to open a closed door so she'd run bounding up the stairs, down the hallway, open my door and take a flying leap on to my bed. An 80lb dog landing on you? Believe me it WILL wake a person up! (The kicker was my Dad would follow the dog and stand at the foot of my bed laughing as the dog was playfully mauling me! 😆😆😆😆😆)
