From what I'm reading, ship building is very slow bc they don't have enough trained workers. Congress should prioritize education funds for the trades, ship building and others. Seems young people don't want to weld, plumb, electrical and other trades. Student loans could be forgiven if students finish the course satisfactorily & work a minimum time to have loans partially forgiven each year. These are usually well paying jobs. Seems like many of the trades are short trained workers.

Time to make trade school a big deal. Let’s get this country building again !

The military sure as hell has a big enough budget to have all the ships they could ever want but for some reason everything is way over inflated in cost so individuals can pocket large amounts of our money

Ships don’t matter much in war. Air power i believe matters most!

What its not saying is that the navy also has 139 ships in reserve that can be fully activated in 7 days. It's called the mothball fleet.
