November 12, 1992 A swarm of wasps was blamed for the death of an off-duty Walt Disney World employee who fell 15 stories from an observation deck atop the Contemporary Resort Hotel. Brian Hribek, 24, was sitting on a 4-foot-high concrete ledge on the 15th floor Thursday afternoon when the wasps suddenly appeared, startling him and a companion. The friend told police Hribek tried to brush the wasps away, lost his balance and fell backward (I worked there at the time.
