Thrift Store Prices Gone Wild?!

what makes me mad is that they are getting all the stuff for free and turn around and make a profit on it

the things are donated to goodwill & thrift stores. The prices are way out of hand, might as well go to stores & pay those prices

They went wild a long time ago , Ridiculous , items being donated!! But definitely check what the CEO makes !!

greed is rampant in our world now even in stores where people without much money used to shop

at the good will where I live they sell their rubber boots that are used for 28$and all the stuff is donated to them and I was going to My dad's funeral and I went to get a black dress and was 43cents short and the lady who was working at the time wouldn't let me slide how's that one for you I to lll never buy from them again man paid the rest of the money for me and they have jeans for 40$ your paying for the name on them they also price the speaker and stereo separate and the plug and if you get caught taking anything out of the box you are arrested for it too

Yup! The other day at my local Family Thrift, kids used winter coats were $30-$40. Shameful. For a business with low overhead. 🤦‍♀️

It’s gotten so bad! I’m not donating or shopping at goodwill anymore..

A couple years ago I found a Calvin Klein jacket at Goodwill in Marshfield, Wi. It still had the original store tags on it. Don't remember the price but Goodwill priced it $10.00 more. I thought for sure it was a mistake and questioned the manager. She got snotty with me and said no mistake, if I don't buy it someone else will. Needless to say , that if someone did it wasn't me and I haven't shopped there since. Their prices are ridiculous ! Instead I only shop thrift stores that are reasonable and or give back to the community. Goodwill is one big scam , gouging people for items that were donated !

wall canvas art still had the original price (14.99) tag from Marshall's one it, the goodwill price was $19.48 😲.... pair of kids Nike Air max, definitely can tell they were worn, goodwill price was 80.48. chipped, wooden medium size photo frame, with no back on it, $8.88. its disgusting seems how everything is donated to the. to begin with. however, they unpack, price and throw stuff on shelves, literally, goodwill in my area, literally piles stuff on shelves. have to move things to see things, so uppity prices are absolutely ridiculous. I hope something is done, as my family depends on bargains! 🌸
