Ron Howard’s Surprising Wedding Confession

When my son was about seven, we stayed in a cottage in New England and my son was riding his bike everywhere in and out from between the cottages and it turns out the kids riding their bikes and one bald guy with them was Ron and his family. They were normal. We were normal and everyone got along

They’ve been married 50 years? How old was Ron? 2?

I worked my first job at W.T. Grants in Glendale, CA. Which is right next to Burbank, CA. Ron Howard came in at least once a month and most often with his girlfriend. The women he married in 1975. A year after Happy Days started. Married his high school sweet heart. He had red hair, I remember they both had freckles, cute couple. Totally down to earth. He has never changed. A very humble decent man. His father was in the Air Force. He had a fairly normal life late 60’s early 70’s. I know the draft had stopped before I entered High School. So it had to have stopped before he was eligible. But if he did get drafted I don’t see him not going.
