Kroger Layoffs: What It Means for Shoppers

It means nothing for shoppers. It means nothing to the employees in the stores except MORE and MORE stupid orders that the man behind the desk orders for each store, not based on sales, probably based on a bonus and let’s not forget the bonus for the “man” in charge. Kroger has gone down hill!

Based on corporate greed

You guys don't have a clue about businesses. If they don't make a profit, they have to close them, so don't drag down the rest of the company. In Washington, they don't prosecute the shop lifters, so they hire guards at the doors to stop the shoplifters from walking out the doors, the cities won't prosecute the shoplifters. The cities force them to pay high wages, which they have to raise prices to pay for all that and the sales go down because of that. I worked in the grocery store businesses for 30 years, so I do know what is going on.

Kroger is way over priced yo start off with! Most of the sales prices should be everyday prices. My Kroger may have two checker’s on the best day ! About a dozen self check out those save paying employees so when self check out is there should be a discount to encourage it! If they are thinking about paying extra for checkers! If I ve got more than few item I ll wait and go to checker especially if theres a problem with prices which there usually is!

Nothing because King Soopers is a misguided and poorly managed corporation costing all involved with their nonsense!
