Sounds like a made up answer to appease the masses. Planes do not fly at 100 feet and it doesn’t answer the magnetic phenomena that has been reported on many occasions. I have sailed through the area several times and with the exception of the hundred year storm back in 1991 never seen any out of the ordinary wave events. Keep investigating fellas

I can remember conning a 258-foot research vessel east of Cat Island and going through a white squall. Looked like a solid wall of white water. Wind went from calm to 80 knots in minutes. Of course, after a few minutes, we were in clear skies and water. It was very weird, and I never encountered these conditions anywhere else in the world.
