Costco’s Free Sample Game Has Changed!

The workers who give out these samples do not work for Costco. A different company does and pay these part time workers. Most take these jobs to supplement their income. This is taking away their jobs

thats a shame, We like to try products before we buy. We have bought items that were sampled that we wouldn't of bought otherwise.

The sample stroll is becoming a rare treat? You don’t know what you’re talking about. First of all, there never were samples in the food court. Samples in each Costco continue. You’re best odds of getting the samples are between 1 and 4 in the afternoon, and the number of samples varies from day to day. The rule has always been that kids are supposed to be with a parent to get samples, but it’s not always enforced. It’s polite to take only one sample when others are waiting, but Costco actually allows you to take more than one. But, no, samples are not disappearing at your local Costco. You’re just writing an article to get readership that includes false information. Get your facts straight.

That too bad for those of us who prefer coming on a weekday to avoid the crowded weekends. Like others, I often buy things I have sampled that I otherwise wouldn’t have bought.

Too bad for Costco. I would never buy some of their products if I hadn't tasted them first.

Good, now these fools won’t be blocking isles. I don’t care if you want a sample but don’t stand there eating it. Move off to the side and out of the way.

We purchased many sample items. We may not have purchased if we never tried it. Costco should use their own employees this way their getting paid.

i worked in Utah at Costco as a food sampler person. You don't get benefits because it isn't Costco you work for it's a company that does samples for any company that wants to give samples. It's only part time and mostly older people do it and you don't always get many hours. And sometimes you get sent home. Some samples are easy and sometimes you have to cook. Once I had to fry bacon. No fun. lol

I like it. Went in the other day and didn’t have traffic jams at each endcap!
