Not likely. Don't forget that pieces of the plane have already been found washing up on shore. identifiable by parts numbers , etc.

passengers still waiting on plane.
my goodness, the plane had a fire in cargo bay, cut off all electronics, the smoke eventually killed pilots & passengers. the pilots while still alive attempted to get back to closest airport, once pilots died the plane continues on the course till it ran out of fuel...that's what happened
