rent is higher than a mortgage
A friend pays $2,400 a month in rent for a 2-bedroom apartment. They applied for a mortgage on a $300k starter home. The bank said no. “Too risky.” So explain this: Paying $2,400 in rent every month is fine. But paying $1,800 in mortgage isn’t? Same money. Same person. Maybe because they can't afford all the other things that go along with home ownership. Taxes, insurance, etc. The mortgage isn't the only thing banks consider when looking at the loan.

Because we have allowed single family homes that are for sale, to bought up by the dozens at a time by large equity corporations instead of selling to individual families! This should not be allowed and has to stop!

I pay 100 bucks a week for a 2 story farmhouse, furnished. Landlord stores stuff upstairs so I don’t use that. Just me living there (for Work). She pays utilities also. Older furniture but still functionable. Have a washer and dryer also.
