ALL auto manufacturers.are pumping out garbage vehicles that won't last 10 years, and will have many problems in that time. Sure, the manufacturers are at fault, but the government has also forced them to add lots of expensive tech that isn't perfected and prone to fail. To improve mileage they've replaced about everything they can with plastic and aluminum. In an accident with a steel framed vehicle, how do you think an aluminum frame will fare?
There aren't enough mechanics in the Milky Way Galaxy to handle all of the recalls effectively. Recalls will be handled with temporary patches to last until the warranties expire.
