I actually went there about 20 years ago, on a cross-country trip back home after college. I was with two friends, driving a U-Haul and towing my car, when we spotted this place off the highwayā€”pretty sure it was visible from I-80. We decided to pull over and wander around, with zero context. The atmosphere was so unsettling that we were honestly spooked. Luckily, there were signs explaining what it was, or else we probably wouldā€™ve bolted.
