Breastfeeding Drama on Family Beach Trip

I agree with the family. No one wants to see you breastfeeding. Have some self respect & do it in private. DO NOT tell me it’s only natural. It natural to poop but I don’t want you bringing a commode next to my table & do something natural. It’s natural to have sex but I don’t want two people to get on restaurant floor & get after it. Just because something is natural doesn’t make it natural to do it in front of other people. Have respect for others

I dont have a problem with breast feeding as long as you use something to cover up with. Its not necessary to show your boobs to everyone. I did it all the time and ppl didnt even know.

babies have NO sense of time.They're hungry when they are hungry. Without food from Mom or the bottle expect icreasing levels of crying. Being offended by Moms breastfeeding is incredibly puritanical and short sighted. I just used to wear a big tshirt with a sweater. the sweater covered my baby at breast. I was born in 1951 and am 73. Was self conscious initially feeding in public with 1st baby, but a hungry baby could care less . Second baby no issues feeding when out. Those who are offended get over it, change your attitude. Breast if fair healthier than formula (BTW now $55 per can of powder which lasts less than a month.

Breastfeeders want privacy and peace. Leave them alone when they are feeding your future employees and caregivers. Get over it.💕

Why drama. Baby is hungry mama has milk! Grow up world. It’s how God designed us.

I'm talking about myself. I never go out to eat, and then pop my breasts and feed my baby. I would feed my baby before I went out. If she got hungry, I would fix a bottle. It would be embarrassing. But she had no problem doing it. As someone is eating out, I don't want to see her.

yes, get over it. it's not like she stand up up and tell everyone to look, just don't look in that dirrection if you can't stand it. i would go on a vacation of my own and tell my husband to go back living with his mother, just pay the bills and fill up the fridg.

People need to get a life , if this is the big problem you’re doing ok.

there's a lot of context missing. I breastfed two babies and learned there are many types of breastfeeding women. some are discreet, others are not. why you haven't decided to ask your husband's family how the interaction at the restaurant could have ended better is beyond me. and your husband siding with them leads me to believe that you had zero discretion about it and a deal with it attitude. if you don't wanna be a member of the family keep it up. you using your baby to alienate them will work and you and your husband already have a rift about this.
