If you don't have a receipt, Walmart always gives a gift card, they have done so for nearly 20 years. If you paid with a credit card returns go back to the credit card. If you pay with a debit card typically returns go back to the debit card,

Pell city Alabama Walmart has a sour puss at service desk most unhappy person working at that store rude, slams stuff down on counter had to bite my tongue, mine was a simple return, she did not even ask me anything, my advise is if you do not want to work get you a crazy check looks like it would be easy for you.

no but walmart usualy returns on card but I never returned a big amount. The company has a right to use a return as store credit🥰espevially as a large amount. Some p er ople buy TVs fot a big game and return them the day after. This should be a store credit.

They are told to that on purpose to put a gift card many this has happened they can reverse it why would any one who paid cash get a return for a gift card only good to that store only when you pay debit or cash debit is cash but retailers are shady about it

Most electronic items have a 10, 15, or 30-day return policy. You must have a receipt. If you use more than one type of payment, the computer decides how that return is given back to you.

I’ve had issues but have always been able to resolve all of them by contacting Walmart customer service over the phone. It seems like they aren’t consistent from store to store or that some ppl don’t actually really know the policies. Customer service over the phone are super nice and helpful!

Usually the way you pay for the returned merchandise is the way you will get the refund back with a receipt. As far as not having a receipt they can refuse the return if they want to but normally will give you a gift card after you provide your drivers license!!!
