Truck Trackers Could Be Coming Soon!
Imagine every commercial truck on the road having an electronic ID tracker! The CVSA is pushing for universal trackers to help inspectors spot unsafe trucks and crack down on fraud. They say it’ll make roads safer and won’t invade driver privacy, but some truckers aren’t convinced. they already track trucks with the Qualcomm system. You can see every unit in real time with speed, direction, everything.

who is tracking them and how is tracking going to increase safety and help inspectors Crack down on fraud? every truck has an ICC# and or an IFTA#. they Ll get checked by readers at scales and along highways. What else do they wish to learn?

I really want to see DOT doing everything they can by making every state turn every unused land into commercial truck parking instead of every year come up with more regulations and make our job harder to do.

So the load of computers worth 10M just stopped for the night hear. It's dangerous leaving places with high dollar loads but now you can track them. I know most companies track there trucks but a central sight. I'll say no.

Drivers and companies that have nothing to hide won't care, unless it is expensive to implement. For those that don't maintain their trucks, they would not like it even if it was at no cost

and let's not forget the camera's too...they watch us, track us, regulate the heck out of us but don't feel the need to provide safe parking for us in these cities or anywhere for that matter...and let's not get into the cars allowed in the truck parking areas but God forbid a truck park in a car parking area!
