In order to get the housing market moving again lowering of interest rates are not going to cut it by themselves. There will need to be a larger than normal drop in home prices, a lowering of both property taxes and insurance. These four factors are going to have to take place, working together in order for real estate to stand a chance of recovery. One without the other three involved will not do it. Home interest rates at zero but high insurance rates and property taxes will cause a continuation of what is occurring at present.

We were going to buy until we saw how much property tax would be per year, we then decided we were unable to afford it.and canceled the offer.

It will never be your home the government will always owe it. So the best way is buy buy buy and be part of the system that doesn’t work ! Putting people at risk especially our elders
