I read these comments and I wonder if any of you have ever studied magnetism? What we call the North Pole is actually the magnetic South Pole and vice versa. Magnetic fields have lines of flux. This controls the direction an electric motor turns. The direction of the windings in the motor determines whether the motor runs clockwise or counterclockwise. That is why a magnet will attract another magnet if the North Pole of one magnet is moved towards the South Pole of another magnet, but, if you move the North Pole towards the North Pole of the other magnet they will oppose each other.
