staying friends with an ex when you’re married

A guy I know was still close with his ex, texting occasionally and meeting for coffee. His wife found out and gave him an ultimatum: “It’s me or her.” He swore it was just friendship, but she saw it as betrayal. I've been married for over twenty yrs, I met my husband from an ex I was still friends with, and to this day almost twenty five yrs later I have four ex's I have stayed friends with and it has never caused a problem in my marriage. ex's can be great friends to u and your partner depending on the person. it's not for everyone. BUT, for most unfortunately, friends sometimes last longer than todays marriages so think about that before u drop a longtime friend u may regret it in the end. BUT, that isn't for everyone, I guess it would depend on the friend and what there thoughts on the relationship are as well.
