Milton Williams and Josh Sweat are fantastic players that deserved their payday. Howie just knew everyone can’t be paid, other teams will willing overpay for players coming from the SB winner, and he had to prioritize who gets paid and who we let walk. Letting both go was the right decision for both parties (team and player). Milton’s win rate was crazy good but mostly bc he was not facing as many double/triple teams bc JC was taking most of them. Moro’s win rate was one tick below Milton’s with quite a few less snaps. Birds would not have won that SB without Williams or Sweat but those are the tough decisions a GM must make in prioritizing who gets paid and who they have depth pieces to help cushion the losses to FA.
