SNAP/ SSI/SSDI SOME MISUSE BUT NOT ALL

some of us on SSD/SSDI CANNOT physically work a full time job, (no matter how bad we want to). Being on ssd you are only allowed to work a certain amount of hrs, however the person wouldnt ve able to work a full time job. i have applied to many different places and because of my limitations no one will hire me and that stinks. Trust me.. I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO BE ABLE TO WORK FULL TIME AGAIN. And yes living on such a low income, less then 1500.00 month, sure makes it VERY hard to pay bills and have food, let alone a freezer fridge that has gone out, and havent gotten a new pair of shoes in 2 yrs. It is tough but i know i will be ok if i keep pushing through

I know exactly how you feel because I also have SSI benefits and I only bring in 1,000 a month and I can't make it on that income and I only bring in 37 a month on food stamps so I feel you

my son received ssi a couple of times but as soon as he started a job he was immediately cut off. They have also done everything in their power to kick him off his medical card since he has been working a part time job for over 5 years. So apparently it is not enough that he doesn't collect any money but now they want to take away medical assistance as well. No, not all people collecting these benefits abuse that. That is an overgeneralization that is not accurate at all

My father worked all his life, he passed away before he was 55 . And my mother passed away after working, all of her life at the age of 62, and the government told me that all the money , will go back into the social security fund for people who need money. Not there children , so do you think that’s fair??
