When men have a heart attack, it’s usually described as crushing chest pain. But for women in their 40s and 50s, it can look nothing like that. It might show up as nausea that feels like the flu. Or a sudden exhaustion so heavy you can’t climb the stairs. Sometimes it’s just back pain. Or even a strange tightness in the jaw. Most of us wave these away as “just stress” or “part of getting older.” By the time the truth shows itself, it’s often already too late. We’ve been raised to take care of everyone else first—kids, parents, work— but the body whispers long before it screams. I can’t stop thinking about how many women never realize the whispers were their heart asking for help. #Health #WomensHealth
