Why Does Dental Insurance Feel Useless?

It is useless. You pay that premium to cover a checkup and cleaning. It literally doesn't pay for ANYTHING else.

Insurance covers a $1000 and procedures are $4k

It’s really just a discount plan vs actual insurance

cuz it doesn't cover shit and dentists are way overpriced dental pricing is bullshit

Why does Dental insurance feel useless? Good question. The letter that my old dentist sent to his patients told us that our Charlotte area insurance company had not increased the amount they paid going back the last seven years. The letter told us that he was no longer accepting their insurance. My even older dentist back in Huntington Beach, Calif quit taking all insurance a decade ago. My brother a longshoreman could still go because the dentist could send out a bill for say $16,000 dollars for dental implants and would get a check three weeks later for $16,000 dollars. Life is just not fair.

The coverage is abysmal! I've had to go out of pocket for thousands of dollars these past few years.

It’s 💯 useless! Doesn’t cover anything really needed but a not needed cleaning.

when the government makes dental work as cosmetic we lose period. 🤔🤔🤔

I paid 1400 to the Dentist to prep my tooth for a root canal and crown. Surgeon did the root canal at the cost of 1800. Insane!
