Father of a child should get a mandatory paternity test either at the hospital after birth or a few weeks after the birth. This protects the baby and father. It should be paid for by the woman’s insurance. I say mandatory because the mother isn’t always trustworthy or truthful and instead of asking and expecting. These men should have equal rights to knowing the baby is in fact theirs before their name is put on a birth certificate and being legally responsible for 18 years.
