I forgave one once. In marriage. Reconciliation, counseling, all of it. She did it again. I was Active Duty deployed. Walk away. The offender will keep doing it. They can’t help themselves.

Trust CAN be rebuilt I feel, over a great amount of time and for positive changed behavior remaining consistent. The first question that needs to be asked was WHY the spouse cheated, before being able to answer if it's worth fighting for. Ppl fall out of love and/or attraction. Ppl cheat out of pain or spite. Ppl cheat with impulsive emotions overriding inhibitional thought process. It's a very large gray area to answer the latter question but ultimately the answer CAN be yes.
