I’m a middle-class taxpayer, and a big chunk of my income goes to taxes. My child goes to a public school, which is getting more crowded each year. A teacher told me many of the new students are from immigrant families. I’m not against immigration, but when resources are stretched thin, my child loses out — and I’m paying more. Immigration policy shouldn’t be just “open” or “closed.” It needs to ensure fairness and not leave taxpayers to silently bear the cost. #ImmigrationPolicyNow
