Going through my diabetic nightmares.
#TheStruggleIsReal Going through the reality of the realization of diabetes has really been a game changing eye opener. I first got diagnosed 15 yrs ago & really didn't do anything. Turned 50 & check engine light came on . Still heavy like my picture weighing 375 lbs . Long story short . got a sore on toe ended up losing it. Jane my wife put me on a diet. I also had arterial surgery. lost over 150lbs & still had trouble in right foot. Stumped my toe & fell . Broke my toe & ripped my rotator cuff. Anyway broke toes got infected. Ended up loosing half my foot. It's really been a hard eye opener. but my wife has been right by my side. I couldn't do it without her. shes my rock. A true angel sent from God.

You're truly blessed with her, sir! I'm a type 1 diabetic for over 33 years and I have been blessed with mostly good health. I know the disease will win eventually, but I've had a good ride. I lost my wife of almost 40 years, she was my best friend and my anchor a couple of years ago but I'm still going it alone. But I'm still here.

diabetes effects your total body, including skin, internal organs, etc. unfortunately, if not taken seriously, it's a systemic nightmare

important to always take care of your feet. going to get a good sanitary pedicure is as important to men as it is for women. I get one once a month and my feet are in great shape. I am pre diabetic so I watch out for this.

3 years ago I was prediagnosed with diabetes they told me what I needed to do change my diet get some exercise and do more things these simple things anybody can do nobody wants diabetes you have to cut stuff out take care of your temple it's the only way you get you don't take care of it or throw you in a hole😲

my mom and a lot of my aunt and uncle on my mom's side had type 2 diabetes and now im pre-diabetic and my dad had it just before he died last year and now my brother has it so im also scared to death because im at least 230 pounds and have high cholesterol and I know that I also need to loose weight and eat right now because I will be screwed and die like my mom because she just gave up on life when everyone told her what she could and couldn't eat and I have to think of my daughter
