I was brought up poor.However my Mother made for sure that we had what we needed.It was her that cleaned and cooked and did everything,just like I am doing now, have been since I've left home. We had to rely on Snap benefits then and I am older now, 45 to b exact.I have been disabled for half that time and struggled to find jobs that would pay the bills and what have you.Given that ,I chose to have no Children.I just knew from experience that I could only afford myself and could only afford me throughout my years.I also didn't have children because the world is already bad enough,let alone bring a child up into it. I'm an adult,I too have to rely on Snap Benefits and I'm also on retired disability benefits as well.Some of us truly don't rip off the system,we need it the same as the next struggling family.
