I am a nurse. I came to the US when I was 5, and I am a DACA recipient. Today, I just mailed my DACA renewal application and the $495 check. Every two years, I live in fear that the program will be terminated in court. While my renewal is still allowed for now, federal courts have ruled DACA illegal for new applicants. This means my younger sister, born only two years after me, cannot apply. We live under the same roof, speak the same language, but have completely different futures.
