School Lunch on Hold
I work as a nutritionist at an elementary school. In the lunch line, kids repeatedly check their balance cards to see if new funds arrived. Teachers reassure them: “We’re trying.” But I know, if assistance is delayed, free school lunch might be their only meal. Seeing children eat slower, my heart tightens. #ChildHunger #GovernmentShutdown #SchoolSupport

We pay for Congress, prisoners 3 meals a day , all Children in school should have free lunches on our tax money not the above crooks.

sometimes that's the only meal some kids get,maybe the parents ran out of money,lost their job,etc don't judge someone's situation unless you walked in their shoes

When I was in Jr High I worked in The Lunch Room for mine and Was Delighted to Do So Memories of a Lifetime let students work in Some Capacity Around School Self Work and Accomplishment and no free lunches
