It isn’t just the SNAP benefits for myself and my granddaughter. We also receive TANF benefits which will also be affected due to the government shutdown. Not only will we go hungry but we also will not be able to pay bills. I can barely pay my rent and some food. I cannot afford to eat so I feed my granddaughter and if there is any leftover I go ahead and eat that. I am lost. I have never in my life felt this way. I am sole provider for my granddaughter as we lost her mother in 2021 and six months later my wife passed. So it’s just myself and my granddaughter.
