Adoptive Parents Sentenced for Basement Abuse

The only reason people adopt these kids, it's for the $$, they are paid to take them in, it's not about love, caring or nurturing, it's about $$$$!!😆

We have an adopted son and these stories send chills up and down my spine. We had to go through all kinds of appts and a home visit as well as have people we know interviewed about us. Our son's natural mother was a drug user which eventually took her life a few years ago. Her boyfriends abused our son, kicking him in the head, etc. His natural father is in/out of jail so much, he may as well call the jail home. I might add our son is high functioning autistic. It hasn't always been a roses scenario. We went through so many tests, tamtrums, learning problems, etc. But, you know what? Our son us now 26, living in an apartment on his own, cooking and cleaning as well. He works 2 four hour shifts at a local grocery store. He graduated from high school and went through VoTech for Computer programs. Last year, he obtained his drivers license! With our help, he is buying his own car.

They need to spend life in prison!!! These sentences for child abuse are not severe enough!!!

They deserve way more than 10 years!!!!

Once you adopt a foster child your monthly payment stops. The only help you get from the state is medical. At least in the state of Minnesota. And also I feel this couple should get way more than 10 years. What they did to them girls will affect them the rest of their life.

I’m so sick of people always classifying all adoptive families only doing it for money. My late husband and I adopted four. At the time of adoption only two were special needs as they got older all four were actually special needs. To keep this short the two that were not said to be special needs our daughter she’s schizophrenic has threatened to kill me in her teens friends told me not to take her back. I always did. She seems to be living thaw gang life and tells all of us we aren’t her family. She is now 25-1/2 I would love her to be part of us. The other is a boy that was classified as a psychopath on his 18thbday. He’s now in prison. I now send him money. I’m on ssi and hospice I gave my heathy years to these children. My other two one is in a group home. The other an independent living situation. I’m here and am willing to help even though the money stopped years ago. Please stop judging all adoptive parents. I took all four of my kids to therapy weekly until

Background checks thoroughly before anyone can adopt! 10 years was not nearly enough for these creeps!
