I’ve worked my whole life — warehouse jobs, retail, cleaning shifts. Now my back’s shot, and I’m barely keeping up. But since I can still “technically” work, I’m expected to clock 80 hours a month to keep Medicaid. Do you know what 80 hours feels like when you’re in constant pain? Like a ticking clock over your meds. I’m not against work. I wish I could do more. But this rule makes me feel like a criminal for being tired and hurt. I’ve paid taxes for 25 years — do I suddenly not count because I can’t lift boxes anymore? This country really needs to rethink what “deserving help” means. 💔 #WorkOrLoseCare #MedicaidMatters
