I’ve been on Medicaid for years because of a chronic autoimmune condition. It’s not something you “get over.” Some weeks, I can barely stand long enough to cook. And now, I’m supposed to log work hours to keep my coverage? What kind of twisted logic is that? 😤 People keep saying “it’s just to motivate folks to find jobs.” Sure, but what about people like me who physically can’t? I want to work. I miss working. But when you’re in pain every day, getting out of bed is the work. I’m scared of what happens if they cut me off — no meds, no doctor visits, nothing. It feels like this policy punishes people for being sick. #WorkOrLoseCare
