The James Webb Space Telescope might have finally found the universe’s very first stars—like, the literal OGs born right after the Big Bang! These ancient “Population III” stars are hiding out in a galaxy called LAP1-B, and their light has been traveling for 13 billion years to reach us. Thanks to some cosmic magnifying glass action (gravitational lensing), JWST got a peek at these super-old, super-massive stars. This could totally change what we know about how galaxies and stars first formed! #Science #JamesWebb #SpaceDiscovery
