God is still in control. We only see one side of our carpet- the underside. We see the short strings of knotted lives cut short, of severe illnesses that greatly change the parameters of those we love, and the hardships that we face. We don't always acknowledge the many blessings- the friends who sacrifice for us in time and money, the stranger who smiles and gives us a short quip to lighten our day, the institution that finds extra funds for us, or the doctor who stays late or fits us into their schedule. Life is full of extras that we never notice if we never look up. And it takes so little to be one part of that. Add a smile, even if your day is hard. Drop off extra food at a local pantry or mission, even if you get food from one. Right now everyone needs a lift. Be part of the solution. Hope is contagious. Hugs. π
