Dallas was the first city where I felt like my experience was completely different from the person standing next to me — just because of race. At a high-end restaurant, the host ignored the Black couple ahead of me for almost five minutes but greeted me instantly. They exchanged a look — like they’d seen this a thousand times. Later, on a city tour, the guide talked about “Dallas wealth” while driving past neighborhoods that were clearly neglected. When someone asked why the city felt so divided, he just said, “Every city has bad areas.” Travel is supposed to show you beauty. Dallas showed me inequality wearing a cowboy hat. #Travel #Dallas #RaceInAmerica
