I've got a stray that I've been feeding now,it worries me that she or he will be cold.i made a bed for him or her on my back porch with blankets and put the food beside the bed but he,she hasn't gotten in it yet.But he,she is sharing the food with a possum.But I put the possum food separate from the cat food.Possums eat different food but the possum is a baby so im worried about him also!! I've fed strays all my life and my almost 18 yr.l old kitty was a stray ,her sister recently passed from kidney failure this past August so maybe its a sign this stray kitty showed up for Callie!! im keeping my fingers crossed.!!👍👍💕💕

good luck. I had been feeding a stray cat for a month or so but made a big mistake by teasingly calling out to him at feeding time at dusk. I would mimic his meows. he would respond by meowing back at me. silly I know. I grew attached to him. it was a mistake to mimic him, for he would respond. it was quite touching. I thought it was cool. but I live with a lot of brush around me. suspect these calling out efforts simply allowed coyotes to zero in on him. I feel very bad about my calling out now. I guess s coyote would have gotten him eventually. still, what you do can end up attracting predators. I really miss "communicating" with him. he was a very sweet boy.
