I am a retired military Veteran. All soldiers, airmen and seaman are taught to obey orders. We are also taught right from wrong from the beginning. as a soldier we have the right to refuse an order, especially when it pertains to killing innocent people or something horrendous. hence the birth of precision weapons... but I digress .... there are consequences to not following orders. what the Democrats did was to sow division by questioning all orders. in combat, that could mean life or death. From my observations, I have seen no unlawful orders, nor questionable. I'm referring to drug boats. I personally as a veteran love that the drugs are being forced to stop. and have no moral qualms against the destruction of these cartels and their cash flow. I was involved in counter narco terrorism for years. our military already knows right from wrong. what the Democrats did was seditious and creates division and confusion amongst our politically separate fighting force.

My Lai was a completely different story than anything done by Trump. The Trump administration has never ordered the National Guard to destroy a town or village! The stupidity of some of this is beyond comprehension.

Assume you are an infantry company commander. You have to make a choice that violates international law or saves the lives of your men. What do you do? Call your lawyer? Let your men die? What should your men do? The entire topic is so silly that it boggles the mind.

Implying the thought for illegal orders, taints the whole protocol of ‘chain of command’ orders…VIETNAM, had instances of those who thought orders, or issuers of orders were wrong; think the terms ‘fragging’ and ‘friendly fire’…there should not be the slightest ambiguity pursuant to following orders, avoiding the potential for adding to those actions…IMO
