Slavery is horrible. I use present tense because it's going on today. Millions of Africans are enslaved by other Africans right now. Southeast Asia is another area with slavery. Slavery has existed since human history began. It has been practiced in almost every culture. it's not racial. it's about power. the strong subdue the weak. if history were taught properly, Americans would realize that virtually all of us are descended from slaves. would that improve racial attitudes? I have no idea, but these facts deserve to be known.
