Please can anyone tell me what are the police officers and other members taught. The majority of Humans are not lawyers judges and etc. So if approached by a member of law enforcement we expect that this representative of the law is truthful. Yet in most of the reels on Social media it shows the officers not telling the truth about what they can and cannot do to the people they come in contact with. The approach they take with people they address in some cases is Horrible. If it is their job to Protect and Serve then why do they act as they are judge and jury. An officers job is to enforce the Laws not to administer punishment. How is it that the ordinary person doesn't trust law enforcement yet they pay their salary. This country is made up of Humans Beings everyone is not a crook most are law abiding Citizens too many citizens have been mis treated by law enforcement and the officials rule this as justified.As a concern citizen PLEASE !!! enlighten me. I know we need the Police but not the ones who violate the citizens rights because of their race or creed. We the People need to know so enlighten us.

police forces are power monopolizing organizations. as such, and as history shows, their central tendency is to aggrandize their powers and to expand their jurisdictions. if the law as it is stated does not allow them to overreach their legitimate functions and powers, they very often do that on their own and lie about it. that is not the only reason power is a very dangerous commodity. it has to be watched and checked at all times.

they have the responsibility to retake authority whenever contradicted.Understand,whenever contradicted they must retake authority, refusing identification is in most cases cause to retake the authority the refuser has just tried to take by refusing at that point ultimately the officer wins.Authority is essential to survival.Bet!

I was a cop for 21 years. Each state is different in their laws. Most cops are honest and know how to do their jobs. If you get stopped by a cop just give them what they ask for. Arguing just takes things in a bad direction. If you don't agree with the charges just go to court. This mentality of challenging authority in a physical way doesn't accomplish what you want it to.

I was raped by a police officer when I was 11. they tried everything to derail my claim even handing me pictures to pick out my rapist. when I said he wasn't in those pictures I saw him add a picture and after looking through the them again I identified my rapist. nothing was done they destroyed all evidence and interviews.

Every state is different so first learn the law and do your best to obey it. And it's a great idea to learn the constitution of the United States very well. If you get stopped by a police officer show them your ID but you don't have to answer any questions, well not In Louisiana anyway. Best thing to do here is always have a good lawyer on retainer. I was a police officer for several years and let me be honest I don't miss it at all. I couldn't do that job today bc the world is too crazy. Be safe

The need for police reform is ever growing. It was really brought to light 2020-21 however, the maneuvers, actions, behaviors, practices and movements of the Democratic Party of America, ANTIFA, BLM and Defunding it went from a front and center issue for action to a tabled and all but forgotten headline item. Now with reform not going to happen and the lack of DA and even judicial support coupled with the DPOA making it ok to attack police, making noncompliance and obstruction acceptable behavior. what did anyone think the outcome would be? Operating with diminished respect and cooperation, a reduced force with an increased work load and increasing restrictions and less than honorable scrutiny just what do people expect?
