Maybe it's not about the poor people. Maybe it's about the billions in fraud from the people who manage those programs, and not the poor themselves.

It's not racist or hateful to want your hard earned taxes spent wisely.

Its not about hate even though a bunch of people run with it. It is about fraud and abuse. The MAIN people complaining are not the victims. Its the ones who have grown comfortable with the lack of checks and balances which have allowed the abuse and fraud of an otherwise helpful system set in place for those who really need it.

Isn't it strange that all these comments are about how the poor are scamming the system? I haven't seen anyone complaining about the ones at the top who are scamming you by not paying their fair share of taxes. No one upset because the corporate executives arent paying a higher minimum wage to allow people to get off SNAP! Do you realize those earning minimum wage have to work for an hour to just buy a pound of ground beef? Faux entertainment news is really doing a good job for you to think the fault here is with the poor!

As a GenXers it's not hate for those in need, or racism. Racism is hating someone based on the color of your skin. I feel for those who struggle and nerd assistance, but righteous anger for those who abuse the system and think the world owes them a living. People misconstue truth and right for hate too much in today's society. Truth and facts aren't considered nice and if you think I hate someone because I speak truth unapologeticly that's not on me that's on you.

Dear Santa Claus: Im 70 now and its been a while since Ive written, but this year I would like to make a few requests: I would like to have a president that supports all Americans. Not one that threatens witholding federal funds to states that disagree with him on policies. Not one that will withold snap benefits for the needy. Not just the rich. Everyone. I know this is a big ask, but while you are at it, could you send some new Senators and representatives? Ones that will take care of the people that elected them. Not turn their backs on them just to stay in good graces with the administration or party. Would be nice to have an America where people respected and cared for other people like they used to. No.. this country has lost its moral core and families!

Every single hater is one lay off away from everything they hate. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. wake up people. we no longer live in a free society. we are divided now more than. ever. we have a hate for our neighbor like no other country and we think it's just the norm.

I agree at 67 years. America does not understand the word respect for all humans.

College students are getting SNAP benefits and then expect student loan forgiveness while vacationing in countries I haven’t been to yet! So those who really need it for a gap issue like unemployment or disability have to compete with the college students and generational welfare families for the taxpayer dollars. When we see too much abuse we may treat those who should be getting it the same as the abusers but that is the government’s fault for lack of follow up and enforcement.
