Im not saying this didn’t happen in the past & in some isolated instances it may still happen. But I’m a Gen Xer. I hit the work force in 1988 & joined the army. I was a federal employee for 35 years. I am a white heterosexual man. In my 35 years it was my experience that during this time your race, gender & sexuality is what got you hired & promoted. Your abilities & skill set had little to do with it. I would love to see an audit of all federal entities to include the military. I can guarantee you that minorities, women, homosexuals & transvestites in management positions are significantly over represented. So if there are X number of white employees & 3% make management positions you would see that 3% jump by multiples for “protected” classes. So I haven’t seen it in my lifetime. What I’ve seen is an overcompensation that has resulted in less qualified people being hired & promoted which has led to inefficient & ineffective government.

Equal qualifications are very seldom equal. On paper, they may be similar, but in reality, they’re not. Maybe it’s presentation during an interview, experience in the role applied for, etc.

When you overcorrect, not only do you still crash, the crash is typically much worse. In the case of prior racism correcting to the LEVEL playing field of equal opportunity pulls you out of the skid and prevents the wreck. But moving to the subjective ideology of equal outcome is a gross over correction that quickly bedtime an across the board societal wreck. Identity politics set race relations back nearly 100 years or more precisely because it pathologicaly allows the past and subjectively demands a grossly counterproductive over correction.

skin pigmentation is not race ,black and white are political terms most people are mixed like Obama with his Caucasian mother but somehow he is a "black man".We have different shades of brown mostly that are mixed
