Wow, talk about drama in the garage! NASCAR’s settlement with 23XI and FRM was supposed to cool things off, but instead, it’s put The Intimidator’s old boss, Richard Childress, in a tough spot. Not only did he get blindsided in court with NDA-protected info, but leaked texts from NASCAR’s top brass called him out in the worst way. This crap isn’t going to save NASCAR. It’s gonna fatten already big pockets. Charters have killed off lower funded teams. Refill tens of thousands of seats at these empty tracks and tell me then that charters have worked. NASCAR has removed thousands of seats at tracks. Refill them, get fans back on the seats and I’ll believe charters are gonna be good for fans. Now you have major sponsors about to leave the sport , how is this gonna be good for fans. Call it evergreen, everblue, or any other color you want. When NASCAR’s big tv package runs out ,and it’s going to,because a lot of fans don’t have streaming services, don’t like 5 different channels showing races. And viewership ratings were down by the millions and all NASCAR can say is alternative programming or other sports programming is to blame. No!!! Your product is suffering and big pocket charters will not fix the loss of fans

Reset NASCAR back to the ways of the past when season long consistency produced the overall NASCAR championship. It wasn’t all that many years ago a day at a NASCAR race was one of the hottest tickets to have in sports. Then executives decided to get cute. They crapped up the cars, the instituted stage racing, plus countless other missteps along the way. The result is hemorrhaging fans at an unprecedented pace, crappy TV scheduling on various networks, etc. They managed to crap it all up. For what? Who knows. Homogenized racing is boring as Hell. Just switch it all back to what it was a dozen years ago and the fans will probably come back. For now, I’m out. Too boring, I’d rather clean out horse stalls.
